Children's Stories About "If I were an archeologist..."

If I were an archeologist I would go to Florida. I would go to a sandy area and dig. I would find a whole bunch of stuff, a clay pot, a diamond, deer's teeth, bear's nails and I would mention and write about it in my notebook. I would mention the things that I named and give them to the museum and I would name the things that I found. Then I would go and find some more stuff and I would write about it and all that kind of stuff.- Danielle

One normal school day I was walking home and when I stepped in the front door and my Mom and Dad were so excited for some reason and then my Mom said, "We won a cruse to Turkey!" I was so excited. The next day we packed our bags and went to the dock. After we got on the boat it took two days to get there. When we got there we got off the boat and went on a tour to Eshmier. When we got there we say beautiful sculptures. After that we went to this weaving place. After the tour we had some free time and I wondered off to a field nearby. While I was wondering in the field I saw a snake and I ran but while I was running I tripped on something. I picked it up and saw that it was a sword and shield. When we got back from the cruise I gave the sword and the shield to a museum.

One time I went to an old Indian reservation. There were no Indians and all of the wigwams were all destroyed. Then I saw a piece of paper. It read; Help! We are trapped in our wigwams! To be continue d.....-Gabrielle

When I was in Rome,on vacation, I found a tall mountain. I told my mom and she said we could go mountain climbing the next day. The next day, my mom and I went mountain climbing. At the top we found a HUGE cave! It was dark but thankfully we remembered to bring a big flashlight. Inside, we found many Indian artifacts, like tools and many broken pots. We were amazed! We climbed back down with a lot of the stuff. We took them to an Indian museum and wrote a special description for it. We even got our own showcase. I had a great time!- Risa

One day I was in the Rocky Mountains climbing up a mountain. When I saw something, I saw something very shiny, so I went to go dig it up. It was a tiara from one million years ago. It had diamonds on it and ruby's. So I went to the Native American Museum and gave it to them. -Maryclaire

One time I was outside in my backyard by the swing and I found a Native American corn but I did not see much because it was probably as old as the Native Americans and then I went inside to show my dad and my dad put it with his collection of Native Americans. THE END- Tess

When I was in Ireland I went out into the fields. All the sheep were grazing on grass. In the distance I saw a shiny black thing. It was small, shiny and far away. When I went to get it the sheep flooded in. (One hour later.) I finally got it!!! It was a small shiny black rock. It was dented too. I thought it looked cool so I gave it to the museum with all the forms. The End - Caitlin
